Juz 17 #Day17

Assalamualaikum everyone! I’m sorry I’m still a day late 😂 but I’ll try my best to catch up with this 👌😬

Alright, so for day 17, it will be from juz 17 surah al-Hajj verse 11.

The literal meaning of this verse is –“And among men there’s one who worships Allah on the verge; so if some good things happen to him, he is satisfied with it, and if a trial befalls upon him, he turns his face back. He loses both this world and the hereafter. That is the loss which is so obvious.”

So I believe the meaning of this verse is quiet obvious where Allah says that, those who worship Allah on the verge, they lose both this world and the hereafter.

I think most of us know that there are times when everything in life falls into places and we were so grateful on that time. We feel like Allah hears all our prayers and grants them. We feel like Islam is the truth, the only truth. But when life hits us hard suddenly some of us feel like there’s no point of praying to Allah. We turn our face back. We felt like there’s no much differences between having a religion or not. We think that Allah doesn’t hear our prayers and doesn’t understand our situation, thus we turn our face back from Allah.

If we did this, Allah says in this verse “he loses both this world and the hereafter. That is the loss which is so obvious”. Sometimes, there are situations when we met the wrong Muslims. They portrayed something bad to us as a Muslim. They do the things that Islam forbid but then we put the blame on Islam. Especially when we know that this one person is a good Muslim or Muslimah, a pious one but we got to know that they badmouthing people, they are so judgemental and others. We feel like Islam is bad but then there is no such thing as bad Islam, it’s only bad Muslim. When we saw good Muslims, we believe Islam is the right one but when we saw a bad Muslim, we put the blame on Islam. That’s definitely not the right thing to do.

Therefore, we’ve to have a strong faith no matter how our lives turn out to be. Well, I believe when it comes to finding our life partner, our beloved one, we want those who can be with us through thick and thin right? Not the one who left us once we were in our lowest point. Therefore, why can’t we be loyal with our religion and hold strong onto it through thick and thin as well?

May Allah makes us among the people who do not worship Allah on the verge and the people who are loyal with their religion 🙂

Ramadhan kareem guys! 🤓
