Juz 11 #Day11

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone!

So today I want to share with you guys verse 65-66 of surah Yunus in juz 11.

The literal translation of these verses are – “And what they say should not make you grieve. Surely, all powers belong to Allah. He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. Listen, to Allah belong all those in the heavens and all those on the earth. And what do follow those who invoke associate-gods other than Allah? They follow nothing but whims and do nothing but make conjectures.”

The first part of these verses is about Allah telling Muhamad ﷺ that the thing they say should not grieve him. Surely, throughout his way in delivering Islam, there must be people who try to hurt him by saying bad things about Islam but Allah says, Muhamad ﷺ has to become stronger than that because if he let those things affect him and hurt him, he is going to be demoralized and next unable to do his job. He has to deliver Islam on that time, if not, how can we able to practice Islam today?

If we ever think that all the bad things they say will affect Islam, remember in these verses, Allah said, “Surely, all powers belong to Allah” which means there’s no doubt that all authority, respect and honor belong to Allah. Don’t ever think Allah can be disrespected as it’s not even possible. So we just don’t have to worry about it. Next, Allah added in these verses, “He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing”. It’s not like Allah didn’t hear what they said. It’s not like Allah doesn’t know what they’re saying.

Basically, these verses is on how Allah gives His messenger clear advice on how to keep moving despite hearing hateful speech. I believe we can relate with this. There are times when we read such hateful and ugly comments about Islam everywhere especially on the social media, right? Saying Muslims are terrorists and many more. Reading all of these will just make us feel so angry and disgusted inside. It bothers us a lot. But remember when Rasullullah ﷺ was bothered by all these hateful speech too, he is told by Allah, “don’t let it get to you, Allah’s honor will not be affected at all by all these speeches, He owns all of it anyway so you shouldn’t be bothered about it.

When we get influenced and triggered by any negative words, we cannot let the aggressive, hateful and bad words of those people distracted us just like prophet ﷺ is told that he shouldn’t be distracted throughout his way to deliver Islam. Therefore, we shouldn’t allow ourselves to be taken in by so much hateful speech that’s all around us today in regards to our beautiful religion 🙂

Happy fasting everyone, byee!
